| To people that grew up in the US, the thought of going over 100 mph is "irresponsible", no matter what car you're in. That's not my opinion. That's because many of us tend to search for moral justification of the laws which we're forced to live under, and we then impose those values on everyone else as if such values were universal and absolute. Um, okay. I never referenced any laws in my original post. This is a non sequitur. The only reason you think it's irresponsible and unacceptable is because it goes against the laws you live under. Wrong. Even if it was on a racetrack, passing drivers who may not see you coming, and decide to change lanes abruptly while you are going 120+mph faster than them is a stupid thing to do. I break traffic laws everyday, namely the speed limit to a minor degree. Breaking the law is not my complaint, and if you'll reference my original post, I said nothing about the law. If the title of the video was "199mph on public German road", I think the response to those actions would be a bit different, although the speeds and dangers involved would be the same. My gripe has nothing to do with the location of the roadway or any laws the guy was breaking. He endangered innocent lives unnecessarily. Passing unaware drivers going 120+ mph slower than you is just plain stupid. I'm not sure where you came up with this moral justification tangent, it has absolutely no bearing on what I said.
